yesterday storm was 20 miles too far west...today there was a storm over Shopshire just to west of us, now there is a storm over Derbyshire just to east of us..how do we always manage to miss them, always just too far west or east of my location..very annoying.

More drizzle from a decaying storm (though it might be rebuilding over Congleton) humidity's gonna be unbearable when the sun comes out and inst-evaporates the damp ground >.<

EDIT:  it's that warm, the sun wasn't needed....

Starting to clear away now after some heavy rain. A few close CGs. Hopefully sun will be back out soon.

Mam Tor looking like a nice position! Though my view is currently obscured by some inconveniently placed low cloud.

I'll get to lower ground when I need to

This has pretty much been the view all afternoon, with a conveyor belt of storm clouds developing to the NE of Brum. Close, but no cigar! Slight annoyed with myself for choosing to stay home rather than go to work today now

I'd love a French import as well....as for the thunderstorms ;)

Been a nice day in the SE, seems to be central areas seeing the action so far this summer. I'm sure our time will come once we get the first plume event.

Picturesque line of convection looking southwest from here towards Crewe. Towers going up behind this too.

The cell is on my west now, dark skies, no precipitation from the edge of it, was hoping for some action a bit closer to home too, there's still time yet.

Just go to where the storm is? Maybe?

Would do anything to have a storm within 30 miles that isn’t travelling quickly away from here

The Wrexham beast haha. Think there was far more lightning than detectors show due to the frequency of the thunder. Fab ??

Fantastic structure on that storm. First video was best but then it stopped just as it was getting really exciting!

Some detective work as I figure out what I can see to the south. It'll be better once these cells clear later this evening... back edge lightning?

Anyway from the photo I've highlighted the left side of the storm (red circle). It has a massive undefined wispy anvil now.
