Shame it isn't dark. Would have been a decent display over the sea. Just watching the cells near Winsford now.

Looks to be quite an active cell in the Crewe area as well as the one that passed over Southport. I guess the radio is picking up strikes from both?

Good luck. By your location it was close but no cigar with the Ainsdale/Southport cell. Hoping you get a good storm soon.

Thanks.

Yep 12 km to the north. Did hear very distant rumble at one point.

Now that was amazing!!!! Was hanging out the window, took some footage too, (gonna give a go at video editing, wish me luck) Unfortunately the drunkard neighbour from hell just WOULDN'T SHUT UP! So going to have to remove the sound so you can't hear her screaming/shouting and screeching...

The Crewe storm is quite defined along with this cell behind still going skywards.

Storm over Birmingham has been amazing! Pink lightning, red rainbows, and incredible structure. Have filmed it, so will upload to YouTube, but will see if I can get some screengrabs.

Hi guys, long time lurker but finally signed up. I'm just east of Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire and have had a fair bit of activity. But I must say lightning maps has let me down today. I know it's a free service but it's just typical it happens when I'm in the firing line.

It seemed to be changing location of strikes depending on how much you're zoomed in. Weird.

Second wave didn't intensify here, but still more rain impending.

First post on here!  Some (not very good photos) from Everton Park in Liverpool City Centre as an ex-thunderstorm came over about 8.35pm. Very little rain reached the ground, but some lovely clouds and skyscapes. Last photo is an (even worse) picture of the big storm up near Southport, could see lightning quite frequently but couldn't get any pictures.

I can see the lightning now that it's gone dark enough with nice storm-structures looking to the SW.

Down to 2 strikes a minute but still going. Sounds like positive strikes from their sound signatures on the radio. Storms often produce more positive  strikes at the end of their life but hopefully it’s not going to die just yet.
