Let’s see if they can hold it together until it reaches me. About an hour and a half I think.

Amazing rain storm over us now (including a single peel of thunder) the rain drops were HUGE, leaving a good 4cm diameter 'splash' circles on the roads/pavements, the entire sky looked like it was full of glitter! My camera phone just does not do it justice!

The screaming at the end is the next door neighbour who decided to have her friends around for a garden party..... getting soaked  LOLOLOLOLOLOL

Got some lovely pics of that Maidstone Storm from the NE earlier, the Tilt on the Updraught was stunning and shows the storm was really organised will upload later

I live in Congleton, not much came of this, a light shower for about 10 seconds..hoping that anvil in the distance comes up this way

Wasn't a light shower for me

Also can see an Anvil to the SE, think it's heading my way, can't get a good view of it though as the storms are coming over the house from the joined side of the semi that I live in.

Bonus pic: Rainbow!!!!

Interestingly the WRF 12 z keeps a fair bit of ml-cape going all night and keeps sbcape throughout this evening. Then it is a massive upgrade with tomorrow showing 1150 J/kg of cape tomorrow evening for my location. Also breaks out convective precip unlike it did today.

U catch it very heavy? was here

Posted a vid up above of it when it was just starting, there was a single lightning/thunder as it passed over too. Was over in about 5 mins, very fast.  Ground was dry again about 10 mins after it passed too.

Tiny baby anvil just beginning to form on a cloud directly to my East, looks like it's the one producing precipitation over Cheddleton now.

Small cell over Solihull was potent but has only lasted about ten mins with heavy downpours and some loud thunder.
