From the direction the storms are traveling they would need to form/pass just South of Burton-on-Trent for them to be in-line with us.

Some fairly shallow convection passed me to my E..over towards Mow Cop/Congleton

I live in Congleton, not much came of this, a light shower for about 10 seconds..hoping that anvil in the distance comes up this way

Coventry cell heading this way and can see it in the distance, huge thunder head with anvil.

I sure love it when nature bullies you by skipping over your area that was in range earlier for some action only for it to skip over u and starts intensifying past where u live
