There's a warning out for the NW, yet most activity seems to be south and SE, is more expected later evening?

Have a look at the latest radar image and look across from Lancashire to West Yorkshire.

Radar looking good 50 miles to both my east and west...meanwhile this area has a stream of light showers heading in...typical

Storm to my west, south of Northampton strikes popping up, can see it close from my house but to far to hear anything and going in wrong direction for me. This is however good news for what seems to now be brewing further south and east, now storms if you can just keep your selves composed and organised please.

Yeah I'm as surprised as you! Nothing heading in our direction currently but the skies look conducive for development this evening. A matter of radar watching and luck!

It's two steps forward, one step back. As the Milton Keynes one gets going, the Lichfield one starts to die. Really is anyone's game from the South East to the West Mids and up to Lancashire this evening.

Got all my fingers crossed you guys get some storms - this cell that just went past was a cracking little sod. Shows at least that the potential is growing - just hope it’s more extensive than NW Kent

How is this for a radar return

Mate of mine just reported a “lovely long rumble” in Faversham - no pun intended I’m sure

New strikes in the Northampton Cell and also South Wales.

Got a few large convective drops out of this.

Well done by the way @staplehurst for a cracking forecast!! Not many forecasts I’ve seen highlighted the spine of Kent as a risk area but so far it’s come to fruition.

Lets now hope the rest of the risk zone ignites in the coming hour or two

Certainly feels that way. Drove up the A3 and started round the Orbital currently sitting at Stanwell Moor

All seems to be going to some sort of plan  also a couple of cells firing in N / NW England too. Would expect more to develop across the south Midlands through this evening...
