Sat in the garden with my beloved and my folks and the sky is changing quite rapidly - towering Cu is going up overhead (although exact extent is unclear as I’m pretty much under it).

Fingers crossed this instability rattles in and coincides with the trough

Darkening skies here now. Light shower further south... I wonder it it'll turn to something?

Actually you might be in luck Xander as its fanning out to the north so anywhere from Hastings across to Ashford in with a shout but can it keep its lightning together

Sky clearing to my south... And more convective clouds coming in to the south! :oldlaugh:

I’m starting to wonder if this could be a bust for me today... But the day is still young.

Clouds have been puffing away for some time today over Northamptonshire, nothing going to high I presume to a heavy cap. However in the last hour they are bubbling up a lot higher.

I really believe many places have as much luck today as others, been up from 02:30 this morning for work but I may have to stay up and have a late one if things look good.

Everything still crossed here.

Storm breaking across the channel, west of Calais. This is a lot further east than I was expecting.
