Anywhere but the Met Office big risk in NW England I think - Lol

And there twitter account is an absolute joke. They are throwing warnings out for NE England, Humber and when you click the link it takes you to the NW

Complete laughing stock

There website still has last night's forecast on it. That has been on there for about 18 hours now and is totally outdated, talking about the weather we can expect to see last night lol

Are you talking about my signature? If so, that's the number of days that I have seen lightning or I have heard thunder!

I classify a thunder day when a storm is usually 3-4 miles away from here and the difference between the bolt and the thunder takes no longer than 15 seconds. If you are talking about that, then I have only had 2 thunderstorms this year!

Ah ok yes I was Zak, still amazing how close we are yet I've still had nothing but a very distant almost inaudible rumble and not so much as a flash. Thought we had a good set up finally last night but same old eh? Hope its not going to be one of those years again!

My current thoughts are I will refrain from heading north today and instead head south/southwest towards the SW Midlands. Maybe somewhere to the south of Brum would be well placed for about 5-6pm

I'm with you on that! Going to head to Gloucester as mentioned i think.

Also signs of greater moisture advection NE of Exeter where convection is beginning to deepen. Expecting showers/storms to break out 3-4pm.

Given the cloud here in Plymouth probably for the best. Shame it could have been promising!

Jesus, fair play I hope it works out for you

Issue is you wait any longer and any storms will probably develop before you get there.

Looking good here for later. Around 650 J/KG CAPE on WRF. Looking quite good tomorrow as well although slight downgrades on latest runs.

Getting good insolation now; a little high Cloud earlier but now it’s good. 23.2°C.

The clear sky here has been replaced by this from the south which is probably the remnants of the showers in the channel. Not sure whether any of the reminding ones will get here but doesn’t look like it’ll be anything interesting at this stage.

This is just appearing here, don't know if it's good or bad news for the South east

Clouds are beginning to build up nicely (they are beginning to lose the sideways lean now), still sunny, warm (21-22C) and humid.
