Right on the edge of the storm, constant thunder and lightning.

Nice to look at.

Another small cell developing right overhead - and another over Thornbury. Nice to be sat in the cooling rain.

Even though it's not overhead I'm getting a stunning light show looking north. Brother in Clevedon said it's pouring down, lot's of hail.

Insane storm that seemed to track from around Congresbury towards cleavedon?

tracked north over Weston, sent drone up and got a good 20 mins of footage, the shear wall downwelling / rain / hail or whatever was insane to see, must have been mental to be under that!

nothing to the south of Weston by looks of it yet, but this one came from nowhere!

My poor attempt at taking photos of lightning with the phone!

Sat here looking out of the window and radar watching. Not a lot so far but it has got a couple of degrees cooler in the last 30 minutes.

I'm currently in Yatton. That was impressive

Just down the road. What a beastly little storm that was. So dramatic and sudden!

Yes I was under the downdraught. Sudden burst of wind ahead of equally sudden onset of torrential rain. Trees bent sideways for a few minutes. Very similar to the May 2017 storms. No hail this time though.

Band of rain in the channel weakening as it’s gets closer. At this rate going to be nothing of it left. Just to hear the sound of some rain would be nice. Yeah that’s how desperate it is.

Think I need to ask the Met office if they would drop yellow thunderstorm warnings as ever since they introduced it I’ve yet to see a storm. I know it says most places will miss them but I always seem to be in the ‘most places’ category.

The breeze suddenly increased for a short time not long ago which made it feel a bit cooler. That's about as exciting as it's been here today. 21.0°C

Interesting. I'm seeing frequent lightning to the S/East of Bristol and there's something picking up down near Taunton, also. New echoes appearing on the last radar frame around Warminster / Bradford on Avon etc.

Was looking forward to something interesting coming up from France, but a band of light rain is likely it seems. Will watch as it moves ashore though.

Wind has sudden changed to the East after being light a variable for a few hours. Just had a gust up to 14 mph.

Temperature steady at 22.0°C. DP 17.9°C

It’s forming very quickly. Nothing on radar at 21.50, small red echoes by 22.00 and more forming. I am seeing lightning from 3 different directions, N, NE and E. Could be a great show developing.
