You'll like this one.... Some kids were camping over in the Downton meadows last night. Packing up in the rain this morning, we watched them bag their rubbish up, then chuck it in the trees. I shouted

My poor attempt at taking photos of lightning with the phone!

Just missed out in frome again , but took a short a short stroll  to a good vantage point and caught  funnel cloud

Look at how quickly that cell over Thornbury way has developed.  Some big returns on the radar there.

My interest lies with the line of developing cells over Wiltshire, down to Warminster.  See if these can develop into anything over the next hour or two.

Looks to me as though they are struggling to develop. Have a feeling nothing much happening south of the big cell North of Bristol.

I'm not ruling anything out yet with how quickly the south Gloucs cell developed.

That’s what I’m watching right now, nothing there and then 30 mins later!

Just looks to me, anything South doesn't seem to be able to develop.

Hey everyone 🙂

Took this about 15 minutes ago of my view looking out towards Bristol, totally different now though. Hope we get something here later.

Wait just a minute,  cell just exploded South of Bath, will it survive long enough to develop.

No - you said GAME OVER 🤣

Edit: It probably is though...

Cells develop very quickly.  Can change on radar in literally 10mins, only reason I'm holding out a little longer.

Wales is absolutely covered in heavy rain and frequent lightning.  We are all chasing a solitary cell over the Mendips in the hope of hearing a solitary rumble.  Lol.

Desperate times.  🙄

EDIT - cell has become electrified now, heading right for Yatton/Backwell/Portishead area.

Fun, isn't it. My radar keeps crashing due to sheer amount of spherics appearing on it North of here. 🤪
