You'll like this one.... Some kids were camping over in the Downton meadows last night. Packing up in the rain this morning, we watched them bag their rubbish up, then chuck it in the trees. I shouted

My poor attempt at taking photos of lightning with the phone!

Just missed out in frome again , but took a short a short stroll  to a good vantage point and caught  funnel cloud

20.1°C here at 01:20 - it's been creeping up (in a clear sky) since 11:20 when it was 19.8. The increasse started with the onset of a light NE breeze from the direction of London 60 miles away.

Temperatures currently 13C-17C. I've just got back from a very early walk and it felt a little chilly to be honest. Cloud already in to Ireland I can see on the radar. Maybe we can get a good morning or early afternoon out of this but great the further east people are today.

Morning All, after the overnight low of 16.0°C at: 03:14, currently 17.8°C with RH78 % and pressure at 1010.4 mb, falling -0.4 mb (last hour). Whilst no cloud, it is hazy this morning, not the true blue clear like yesterday. So the beach is ready for the onslaught today, with the early risers pitching their selected spot

The satellite chart shows the inbound front, however it appears at the moment to be very fragmented, and rainfall only limited to the rear edge where the cloud is thicker

Wow it was warm this morning for my cycle ride into work, the garden thermometer was showing 18c.

Did anyone else have problems with flying ants last night?

They were everywhere and seemed to be coming g out of the lawn here.

Didn't have any problems with them, but there were loads. It looked like the lawn was moving at one point.

The House Martins, Swifts and Swallows cleaned up, which was great to watch.

Currently 22C-24C. There are two stations near me reporting 18C/19C but those are wrong and often give out weird information. Paignton is hottest right now with 4 stations across Paignton seafront over to Goodrington and Broadsands reporting 24C and one is at 25C. The other side of the bay in Brixham its 23C-24C. And so early in the morning so its a pretty special day here today.

The cloud is into Cornwall already it can be seen clearly on the St Ives webcam here: https://www.skylinewebcams.com/en/webcam/united-kingdom/england/st-ives/porthmeor-beach.html

Although its still sunny there is thicker cloud on its way. Also looks like a thick fog bank quite a way of Porthmeor beach.

25.9°C. It looks like cloud will spoil absolute maximums today.

With the breeze turning more to an onshore here, that will also help to cool things off along the coastal fringe..

One of those rare days when it feels like the Med.

10 work mornings completed, 9-1 in favour of dry!!

Enjoy the sun everyone its already very cloudy here on the eastern side of Lyme Bay, with temps widely 23C-27C. Looks like heavy cloud is now into Cornwall on the St Ives cam although plenty of people on the beach. First pic St Ives, second pic Torquay which looks darker on the cam than it actually is, its still pretty bright here.
