Was able to get out on the bike this evening, without that nagging wind! Hasn’t felt too bad in the sunshine today but could do with it being a little warmer.

It reached 19.5°C

The effect of the inbound high has clearly been felt by all as the showers were suppressed the wind has dropped (slightly). Hoping now for a dry night and day tomorrow as I have big holes in the roof, so I hope to have something in place in readiness for Wednesday opportunity for rain..

Not a bad day here! 20.5°C and it felt pretty warm with lower wind speeds. I felt pretty hot too, while I spent 3 or 4 hours cleaning the pond filters out.

Currently 12.8°C.

Here is the contrast across the region, taken at about 09.30 on top of Salisbury Plain. Clear with cumulus to the South, overcast with Stratocumulus to the North, overhead here was a mixture of cloud types.

A peak of 20.5°C at: 14:55, I am really hoping the rain isn't much tomorrow as the roof still has holes in it, and I cant get replacement tiles for 5 days, and Thursday is looking damp..Dustbin liner and tarps at the ready methinks.

19.3°C today. Not as sunny as forecasts suggested. Completely cloudy now, and it's blowing a hoolie again. Far too much wind this year,  especially on dry and sunny days.

Since the heatwave ended on Friday 26th June I have had 11 days without reaching 20c! It’s likely to be at least 13 and maybe a whole fortnight if warmth doesn’t pick up quickly come Friday!

Also an utterly hilarious precipitation run on GFS. I have to work outside on what looks set to be a wet Thursday morning (no other option childcare or deadline wise). There is then no rain shown until Monday 20th which lo and behold is the start of my summer holiday work. If that comes off then I am doomed! Let’s remember that due to lockdown I was unable to work in the bone dry Easter and May half term breaks!
