You'll like this one.... Some kids were camping over in the Downton meadows last night. Packing up in the rain this morning, we watched them bag their rubbish up, then chuck it in the trees. I shouted

My poor attempt at taking photos of lightning with the phone!

Just missed out in frome again , but took a short a short stroll  to a good vantage point and caught  funnel cloud

1.2mm to 09.00, stuck under persistent, light rain for the last three hours.  Gentle and, hopefully, doing some good to the parched garden.  Seems to be moving away now.

My first post now that the weather has broken. Hot here sunny here at Pagham yesterday, now much cooler, cloudy and a little rain earlier today. Not nearly enough for my lawn though, which is extensively brown.

Ground has dried since earlier.. 14.9°C

There is some more showery rain moving this way, however.

Yep, typical. Just as I'm finishing work to go out for a walk. Darkest it's been all day here to our NE.

Disappointing amounts of rain today. Was hoping for at least some moderate spells but I've barely scraped together 1mm, which will have next to no effect on the gardens.

More rain today than for the whole of May, a few heavy bursts late afternoon saw to that.

It’s rained in a pimply fashion pretty much all day resulting in a grand total of 1.5mm!

The cool air is beginning to make its presence felt now alongside a NE breeze.

Low cloud now too, the cloud base has been quite high for most of the day meaning it’s been quite bright at times.

Despite everything else, I am glad the house is cooling down with the fresher air, upstairs has been especially warm (as usual in any warm, sunny weather...) even with closing curtains in direct sun and opening all the windows.

In the mind of a nearly 4 year old this looks like a massive woodlouse! It’s produced a short sharp shower.
