Hearing some lovely long rumbles passing to the South, the outflow cloud  and presumably invisible anvil has taken away the hot sunshine!

Stair rod rain here at the moment.  Although there has been continuous thunder all afternoon, this is the first rain.

Looks like a serious flooding concern for those in the dartmoor area and river torridge, anyone got any updates from there?

Plenty of rumbles on South Dartmoor but no rain or lightning as yet.

Think most of the action will be further south than us.

Possibility things may evolve further north in the region overnight, although saying that, I'd put myself in Exeter rather than Bristol preferably.

Loving the blob of rain heading our way, everything else is electrified,  other than the blob.

Still had no measurable rain here and nothing exciting even close apart from a few distant rumbles earlier. Suns out again at the moment. 24.6°C

Just a few drops here .

Really intense further east reading direction but I expect it won't keep that intensity when it arrives here in the west .

Is that game over not that it started. Bit of rain to keep the dust down.

Distant thunder which is now getting closer guessing Andover is getting the brunt it is a guess though really still outside and feels really sticky again.

Hopefully Tom and Andy's time to shine soon, if it can keep it together.

300 strikes recorded from all around this location, and only 3 rumbles heard.

That is your fault for living in a microclimate

More "thundery showers" out there now rather than thunderstorms.  Humidity much more bearable today compared to yesterday, a lot of cloud and muck around here too throughout the day.

The ignition line as been roughly M3 and A303 throughout the day and remains so now.

Can't see much happening for areas north of this line, just feels very different to yesterday.

Nothing shining here lol. Heard a few rumbles to the E/SE now it’s died to what will be the 3rd ‘decent for the garden’ shower of the day. Very humid.

Can’t see much happening south of the line either unless it comes back to life as forecast later on.

Still quite muggy here in Dorset should anything spring up.

When I was watching BBC Points weather Ian Ferguson said mid level cloud overnight he said in places across south and west and  it going be 18 degrees and he said cool down a bit that will cause it to thunder tonight places tonight and We are in between a front trough as well on the low pressure and high pressure to the North UK and it is going to be murky and humid the rest of the night
