Didn't get a lot of rain here as it just missed but did hear a few rumbles as it passed. The suns coming through the cloud again now.

Continuous thunder here for the last 50 minutes as the cell gradually slips away to the west.  Still dry.

So, we are late to the party again here in the West Country.  Still cloudy, and temp sat at 21.4, all morning and afternoon.  Looks like we nay see the clouds break up in a bit,  will we still get the storms that supposed to happen?

Couldn't agree more Steve .

Had violent storms forecast for the last four days yet not one materialised apart from few flashes last night.

Maybe our turn to come if those cells can push slight further up from isle wight area ?

Other than Saturday and the last two days, this heatwave will be remembered as 'waiting for the cloud to break and the sun to come out!'

I think our problem is the Bristol channel,  could do with filling it In.

Probably have better storms and more chance of snow in Winter.

Apart from yesterday,  it has been a cloudy affair.

A mate back home said a few rumbles around but no rain at all! (But looking at the radar that’ll change soon)

Yeah, it's the cell that took them off at the Cricket, heading this way.

Think most of the action will be further south than us.

Possibility things may evolve further north in the region overnight, although saying that, I'd put myself in Exeter rather than Bristol preferably.

Today has been MUCH cloudier than expected, not sure why, so that has really hindered our chances I feel. Still time of course - I remember the belters on May 09th 2008 got going after dark after what was an unremarkable cloudy day.

Yup all passing to the north of us. Bit of heavy rain right now here. At least you have someone near you to share in the disappointment, small consolation I know. Perhaps later this evening could be our chance, possibly the one and only one at that.

Heard a few rumbles earlier but it all seems south of me. Still time for things to change but it looks all elevated

Hearing Southampton and Winchester getting a thunderstorm is painful, so close from to me haha!

These storms are benefiting from a clear convergence line running from South London, through Hampshire, Dorset and into Devon. AROME predicted these near perfectly so far, so good model output there.

Currently partly sunny here, temperatures are up and down with the sunshine, had a maximum of 28°C in the sunshine and feels like temperature of 31°C, so the heat is still around!

Now 26.8°C, winds still variable.
