Yes! A few flashes out in the Channel overnight. A good soaking this morning, we are just about to head out for lunch so hopefully a few flashes and rumbles closer to land...

We're just about to lose the Sun at 26c on the nose.

TMS just described the Rose Bowl at Hedge End, as overcast.

So the storm to my east, well I looked at the Netweather radar and played the animation to see what direction its travelling in and worked out towards me  looks out of window again and sure enough tiny spots of rain on the glass. Although the rumbles have stopped.

Another warm humid sweatbox today, temp 26.5C, peak so far 27.3C, with the sun often behind some sort of cloud.

There's quite large cumulus bubbling a few miles inland with pileus at times. Other altocumulus cloud around, some Ac Cas at times. It does feel as if it's going to go bang somewhere.

Looking at the way things are developing and the current forecasts, I think southern counties could finally have a bit of interest this evening and overnight with regards to convective potential.

I'm thinking Dorset, Hampshire, Somerset and Devon.

It looks like they could rotate NW - WNW - W - WSW over time.

That top band with the red dots is just passing over here and the rain is very heavy.
