And its still cloudy nearly a hour later 18.5°C, same as yesterday morning!

It’s so annoying! A very unremarkable spell so far.

It's been much better along the south coast this time around! We just keep ending up with low cloud every morning!

Indeed. It’s frustrating given the potential and that we’re in one of the least likely places to have this problem lol.

A milky sun is out in Gloucester although temps are pleasant rather than hot. As others have said this heatwave has been rather underwhelming to be honest.

The breeze has swung round to the S here which has had a big impact on temps. Only 23.0°C now.

On a completely different subject.

I noticed a fair few trees which are now beginning to change colour, would this be a lack of water?

Still blue skies here, very little cloud.
Wind has moved from the NE 7-8mph average it has been for the weekend to an ESE direction, 11-15mph.
Temp is now 24.5c and rising slowly.

Feeling quite hot here but bearable provided you don’t move around much. Watching for any sign of the sea breeze - currently still seeing an easterly but it’s become lighter and more intermittent in the past hour.

Grey crud in Weston-super-Mare today, sun trying to break through but constant stream of moisture this was isn’t doing any favours.

bit like yesterday it only seems to get a little sunny towards mid afternoon!

bit rubbish when you think just 20 or 30 miles away people are hitting 30+ consistently

Well the eastern most area of convection completely died (the area you might think new storms develop/intensify). Then all the storms in the SW followed. No sun for 3 hours and this band will last a bit longer going by the satellite, but it's convectivey dead. What's the point of that?

Currently 21.4C with a surprisingly fresh northerly breeze gusting to 25mph..

Met Office forecast: A very hot day. Maximum temperature 32 °C". Hmm...

Not sure what is holding the temperature back, it’s been hovering around 29.5°C~ for an hour

Broke another record last night for my station, recorded the maximum minimum temperature at 20.6°C which is 0.2°C above the old record.

Beautiful sunny day again today, temperatures were rising rapidly until around lunchtime when the sea breeze came flooding up from the channel. How I've missed it!

Currently 30.1°C Winds SSE at 15mph.

Visibility isn't great looking from Bournemouth toward the SW, very hazy. Can only just make Sandbanks out it's that bad, but it looks like something is approaching from a fairly dark looking SW direction towards the Swanage area

Lows were 16C-18C and 18C-19C near the water. Some storms passing by this morning with a couple of direct hits in Torquay but it wasn't much compared to other parts of Devon. Not much rain though in my neighbourhood less than 1mm but some stations in NE Torbay reporting 5-8mm so it was very localised.

Suns now coming out after a cloudy morning and early afternoon with temperatures 23C-24C across Brixham and Paignton, and 23C-25C across Torquay. Looking at the radar the sun might be out for a good few hours.
