Reached 25*C just before noon here. It is weird, expecting a max in the 30s from this position - the ‘hot day normal pattern’ here is a rapid rise until near midday, then the sea breeze slows things down or even lowers the temp slightly.

Spying a bit of thin high cloud to the southwest. Let’s see how that behaves.

High cloud shows nicely on the sat image taking the edge off the sunshine...

Overcast conditions shown nicely in the beach shot

19.3c here, and been cloudy all morning.  Looks like cloud should burn away in the next hour or so.

25C here on the coast moving up to 27C-28C a mile or two inland, and some 27C-30C+ as you head into inland Devon. Its been sunny all day here with some high cloud earlier that has gone now.

Wind is light ENE.

Totnes looks to be 30c+ as I can only see two stations there and one is at 30C and the other at 32C. There's also a 31C just north of Newton Abbot.

Seems we’re still waiting for the decaying remnants of the marine layer to clear through. Big jumps in temps taking place upwind, multiple degrees in an hour.

Slower climb with the temperature today compared to previous day's, but the rise is continuing and we are approaching yesterdays high of 33.9°C.

Currently 33.4°C.

The temp is back on the rise here.
Now 32.1c

Even though its well aired and door open, the greenhouse thermometer has been showing 48c today and did not drop below 35c for last few nights..
Of course, the cucumbers, basil and tomatoes are loving it.

And just like yesterday it’s gone back up now and this time it has reached 30°C. First time I’ve recorded 2 consecutive days reaching 30°C at my current location.

Finally started to feel ‘proper hot’ here now, oddly it didn’t even as the temp passed 30*C just before 4 pm. Last half hour has felt like a blanket closing in - albeit a breezy one . Temp climbing through the 31s... can it make it into the 32s I wonder? Feels plausible after yesterday’s impressive late ascent.

It's flatlined at 31.0°C here, so 0.1°C warmer than yesterday's max. But I do really feel the heat now, especially when I attempted to go for a walk. Still time to nudge up a little I am sure.

edit: as soon as I say that, 31.1°C
