Round two for cloud and showers tomorrow?

Now that would be a pee-take .

Alas, it handled today's cloud and slight rain the best, so it's a reason to keep an open mind to such interruptions.

That being said - 'popcorn' showers like that are inherently chaotic and could turn up many miles away from what's shown on this particular run. They're also much less likely to block out the sun for hours on end. So, reasons to be hopeful, IMO.

Well, after only making an OCD-like 29.9°C here and then an 8°C drop in temp after that, I shall be peeved if it happens again!

You just have to accept these things happen in your locale and be pragmatic, this is the UK weather after all.

Surprising day as a cloudy and slightly damp afternoon meant today's max was 26.2°C which was well short on what was forecast. Still, a muggy night in store before we see what tomorrow brings.

New date record (1973-present) for 7th Aug here today by some margin: 32.2°C beating a mere 29.8°C set, funnily enough, in 2003.

Not bad for a day that only had two-thirds of the maximum possible sunshine!

Not at all.   Cloud from the channel was always going to scupper maxes in the Dorset area, obvious from early this morning.

How's this for a statistic?

It is warmer now than it was at 3pm.

Noticed some unusual time-temperature patterns along the south coast today. Bournemouth reached about 31°C around 1 pm, then dropped all the way down to near 24°C as of 4 pm, only to recover to near 27°C as of 6 pm. A drop of one degree for 7 pm.

Well today was a fail. Not far off a standard summer day if not for the humidity!

Can we PLEASE just have a sunny day tomorrow...

Well it ended up not too bad and looked as if it was going to rain at one-point but never did.

Anyway watched a cracking sunset from the beer garden.

Anyone else seeing a glowing thing behind the cloud looking to the North?

Just taken a look and I can't see anything, but I'm well to the east of you.

Could it be something shining up from the ground?
