That should help perk things up a bit down there. I had a lovely day down in your neck of the woods on Wednesday but boy did everything look brown compared to even here.

We have been deserving some decent rain, so I for one have no complaints even though I was working outside in it...

Air feels pretty juicy and steamy now it’s brightened up and downpours are developing across Somerset/Dorset/SW Wiltshire.

Sky is black to the southwest of here so could take a direct hit from that white-centred cell down near Bridgwater. Might just slip underneath though.

Just had a surprise rumble of thunder here.  Loud, deep and prolonged.

Yes, thunder here the same, just one so far. Found 23mm of rain in the gauge, was away up the Fosseway this morning and dry all day.

Not got to the gauge yet, but we did have one bright spot....didn't last long though!  No thunder here and clearing from the west.

A short but very intense thunderstorm this afternoon that led to some local flooding. Probably the most interesting occurrence this month.

Much fresher since.
