First spell of rain this morning since July 14th.
Came between 5:30 and 7am, 0.8mm.
Brightened up now.

That was a lovely day of sunshine yesterday, 22.8c mid afternoon.
Temp was 17.2c at midnight, a low of 17.1c at 5:30am. Now 17.8c 
SW wind 15-18mph, 1009.2 hPa

Drizzle in the air at the moment, the gap between the overnight showers and (hopefully) something a lot heavier is breezy yet warm and muggy with the temperature 17.3°C and RH95%..this morning sees a couple and one person doing their aerobic exercises...

Down in Southampton now. Trying to brighten up a little but generally cloudy with drizzle at times. Warm and humid feel again.

To me, looking at the radar, the frontal wave that was predicted to affect the far SE is 100 to 150 miles further NW. That will have a big impact on later developments.

That should help perk things up a bit down there. I had a lovely day down in your neck of the woods on Wednesday but boy did everything look brown compared to even here.
