Minimum here 19.4°C at 05:16, high so far 31.1°C at 13:41 so beats yesterday by almost a degree, so far.  My post-2013 record is 31.8 and could be in danger.

Otterbourne water works nr Winchester was also 31.1 at 2pm so I'm fairly comfortable with my own reading.

Do you run Locks Heath NW by any chance? I always look at that station as it seems to be the only accurate one near Whiteley - those numbers look very familiar! I believe today was the hottest morning (any month) as well as the hottest June day in the station's history.

I'm a bit confused with what's going on tonight? Will we see anything in S Somerset? I've done the stupid thing and told my boy I'd wake him tonight when thunderstorms start but I can't see anything that suggest we'll get it here

I think we have a very small window for storms around midnight. Nothing before that, and nothing after, apart from one or two isolated showers mid day tomorrow.

That's what I make of the current chatter so far

Grrrr! Looks like today's maximum equals my previous record (post 2013) of 31.8°C so I have STILL failed to reach the magical 32 degrees! Albeit technically still half a degree C below 90F. Now down to 30.8.

Another hot and borderline very hot day here on the South Coast. NE'ly winds continue to keep the sea breeze at bay here, so will always get our highest temps!

So far we've had a high of 31.7°C after a overnight low of 18.2°C.

Currently 31.2°C.

I know that thunderstorm locations are impossibly to predict even a few hours ahead, but if I believe the graphics on the Met Office video forecast, not going to get anything at all in Gloucestershire in the next 24 hours! Anywhere SW, N or East of me in Stroud will do fine!

I cannot recall the temp being 28°C at this time of day here.

Yep, 28°C here also. Normally the sea breeze comes through long before now, but that NE'ly is still going strong.

Keeping my eye on Northern France, around The Channel Island. Something is brewing ahead of model predictions.

A short way down the road from here a light shower cleared the air from 30 to 19 degrees at quarter to five

Well I'm liking the look of of them storms forming just of the northern coast of France!

I assume they are of the elevated type, should be a fun evening if that make it across the channel

@Dean E

Just swapped out the thermaltake toughram for Aorus RAM.

Wanna buy some RAM?

Oh sweet jeez, that looks heavenly! So jealous!

Mate, I'm still on DDR3... rig is still 2012 build, just with GPU upgrades. But still going strong!

26.2°C here. The breeze we had earlier has lightened, conveniently, as I attempt to cool the house...
