There is some mental scud and possibly a funnel or 2 trying to form, being dragged into the storm from the North side!

Offerman or Fromey might be able to see similar from the other side?

Hi Andy

Here are a couple of photos of the funnel potentials over your way and a couple of captures of the CG yesterday evening.

photos 3 and 5 looking toward Warminster direction

photo 4 was more toward buckland dinham way

Hi Fromey,  Apologies, I just logged in on my laptop and it showed posts from you on Tuesday. Yes i was home then and the thunder was continuous albeit not directly overhead but later was much better.

Yesterdays storm was really good too.spacer.pngspacer.pngspacer.pngspacer.pngspacer.pngspacer.pngspacer.pngspacer.pngspacer.png

Steady light rain here since about 8.30, but OH has been about three miles as the crow flies to the south and has had none up to half an hour ago. Yesterday's total amounted to 3.6mm.

It cracks me up.. miss every single cloud this week and now there's a huge mass of rain and it's still bone dry.

Roll on next week!

I'll have to be careful of the drizzle

You'll get some rain in a bit, surely.

But, yeah next week is looking.

Unlikely. It's pivoting North of me, so I am expecting a dry day.

That is an insane amount of rain

 Huge updraught going on  Too

There are a few rumbles around as well

The really heavy cell  to our west is now moving west to east yet the whole progression has been east to west really bizarre

Imagine if this was winter!

Ha ha

i often say that too,  especially more so today as it is coming from the east .

I wonder if we would've had about 20 to 30 cm of snow from this !!

Continuous moderate rainfall here, very different to the local forecast last night.  Goes to show how micro-scale nuances, such as the positioning and timing of PPN, can alter a forecast quite significantly.

Tipping it down here in Ferndown, with a couple of rumbles mixed in.

Hopefully the warm-up forecast for next week actually happens, that way we might have a chance at importing some storms from France.

10.3mm of rain has fallen, with 7mm of that in the last few hours from those convective developments.

But yes, now dry and dull. Temperature increasing and looking brighter out east...

16.0°C winds light from the E
