It’s rumbled a few minutes ago in the direction of where this afternoons storm went mad.

I can see the top rolling, which matches the radar return of slight pulsing shifting down the A303 again, but to my eyes it'll give up soon.

If it doesn't, I will.

Surely it won't go on much longer

Morning All, an overcast start to the day after an overnight low of 9.8°C at: 04:56, currently 14.6°C and RH91% which is borne out by the airport reporting mist patches. Some very light rain skirting the coast. Tomorrow looks a little better (or worse) depending how you see it, but so much welcomed rainfall for the garden, only problem being its not the slow gentle absorbing rainfall likely, more akin to heavy run-off, but lets see how the Met Office YELLOW warning pans out. It could disappear by the morning..

Beach is for the birds! Oh and a single hardy group peering into the English Channel mist...

Post in the Storms thread:

“Arome this morning absolutely hammers parts of Devon and Cornwall around lunchtime, before the focus switches to the midlands and northwest once again for their daily hammering. Looks like we miss out again today. Haven't even got any sun this morning to compensate!”

You might be OK down your way.

We'll be feeding on scraps as usual and watching from afar.

Yeah, hopefully get something overhead today. Wasn’t home yesterday, was lucky enough to hear quite a lot of thunder getting closer for an hour but it died off before it came overhead with minimal rain.

Promising to see a moderate warning that close however

Good luck for all today!

Likewise for here too. Unless a beast of a storm appears, and covers the whole of  the West Country, the little storms do a good job of dodging Weston.

That big mass of rain for overnight tonight is further South on the UKV, than the Arome/Euro4 though isn't it?

Might rumble, might not.

UKV has consistently showed nothing along the South coast. The warning matrix on the MetOffice site shows the lowest confidence, so it will change.

Still sunny here as the cloud breaks, no rain here

An early morning lightning ping down in the West Country

Disappointingly overcast all morning here.  Hope this doesn’t inhibit convection possibility’s this afternoon.

Hi Nettie,

Yeah, this the one that we were watching last night. Andy B was under it.

Between 8:45pm and 9:30pm it did this...

Hi Jtay,

It looked quite spectacular I don't think I have ever seen anything quite like it. Didn't get anything here yesterday other than sunshine.

Today we have a few more clouds floating around but still quite bright. Hoping to get in on some of the action later if any.
