Interesting line of convection, which is still developing, running down from Gloucester - Swindon - Basingstoke.  Some lightning strikes embedded within:

Shown to be, very slowly, travelling WNW, might provide something of interest for Wiltshire, BANES, Gloucestershire etc.

I’m in North Wilts @AWD & can see the outskirts of that line & hear the odd distant rumble of thunder. The cloud looks angry to the WNW & building to the SE of me but as of yet, blue skies immediately above me & not a drop of rain. Watching with interest

What a bonkers track. Having waved it off NW in your direction, it bent it's run down the A303 and I'm now still looking at it due West, around Ilchester.

Must be rotating around the LOW.

Seems to be more active on its northern half (through north Wiltshire into Gloucestershire).  Southern half looks to be slowly fragmenting now.

Yeah can confirm that line of storms has given us (just west of Swindon) 20mm of rain in 35 minutes!
Quite a few flashes and claps of thunder, nothing too extreme. First storms of the year though.

I think that might be it here. More like a heavy downpour with rumbles of thunder which decayed in situ. Calm and muggy again now, with a few distant rumbles from the Burnham on Sea cell.

Hopefully tomorrow/Thursday will be a bit more active.

A fine day with full on sunshine, sat between the coastal sea mist/fog and the storms, a fine day to be had..(now cut to the chase, some storms please)

Just watching the BBC forecast.  Thursday looks interesting at this early stage.  Mentioned the possibility of a convergence line setting up somewhere over Southern England with the potential for slow moving, heavy thunderstorms along it.

Was right in the purple bit of this cell at work earlier on, about 5 miles north of where I live.

This was it slowly approaching, rumbling away, before coming right overhead with constant thunder, torrential rain and hail, and gusty winds. We had over 30mm in less than 30 minutes. Really spectacular, and one of the most intense I have experienced.

No rain, and only distant thunder heard today. Tomorrow looks like a carbon copy of today.  Hopefully Thursday produces.

I’m watching & hoping I might get something from that slow moving cell coming up & over from Andover. I’d take some dark skies & heavy rain right now

Looks like it’s producing some lightning over the plains. Skies are going dark here

New cell rapidly developing around the Melksham/Trowbridge area, recently becoming electrified.  Last roll of the dice for today for people around the BANES area?

EDIT - Electrical activity seems to have died off now.

Nice pics.  You must be in a very quiet area to be able to hear the thunder from that cell.  I need a favourable wind direction just to hear my neighbour fart.
