My condolences @Arnie Pie

Took a 3 minute video last night of the clouds & sped it up.

Results were interesting to say the least.

Is that a meteor near the end?

Last two times I've taken a video I've always seen that flash & it's too quick to play back and see whether it is or not. I'd presume it is but it's interesting to say the least.

Glad some of us caught a viewing last night, great to see the pics posted.  Saw some lovely web cam views from Poland and a cracking one from Copenhagen, Denmark using the links posted by @Arnie Pie  on page 5 of this thread.  Still, you can't beat seeing them with your own eyes though.

The NLC`s didnt tun up for the second half (a bit like the Villa)

Uh oh, a fellow Villa fan. You know, I think I preferred it when not all games were televised...

I knew I would come to regret my bold claims that dawn would put on a good show. All the signs were there. Anecdotal, though it would seem so far this season a good evening showing would always be followed by an even better morning showing... except for this time. Still much to learn.

There could be a clear first half by the looks of the sat.....and looking at the 3 day out we may get lucky early doors..utv

Yep @Arnie Pie tomorrow and Saturday, possibly Sunday, but the seasons getting on now, chances of a decent high level display must be fading..?

If i`m honest Rob the clear spot for Fri/ Sat which has been forecast all week..... is likely to materialize now

That`s a good start

Chance of NLC`s...for a forecast for tomorrow night/Sat, we would have to go to the '4 day out' of yesterday`s AIM

Unhead of i know....So.. as you can see there`s a strong mass of cloud around the '4 days out' area (between 8 & 9 o`clock)....All of the clouds, around that area, are down past the 65° latitudecurrent_daisy06j.thumb.png.725cc8d81e772a43040cf9f81994079e.png

The clouds around the 65`s ° latitude.....  would give a 5-20° altitude display

Sat Morning for me ..has a good chance of being one of them  'once in a lifetime opportunity' ...with Comet Neowise in the same skies.

and so far ....still looking good

Eagerly looking forward to todays AIM

Plan to potentially see NEOWISE on Saturday or Sunday over the sea so I hope the NLCs trickle in for that.

I'm not a million miles from you, so far I have quite fast moving cloud, but with some decent pockets of clear sky inbetween, so fingers crossed.
