Noctilucent Clouds Season 2020

crucial point: Noctilucent clouds form during summer. And that's the problem. Although summer officially started in Antarctica one week ago, the southern stratosphere still seems to think it's winter. In particular, the stratospheric polar vortex, which should be breaking up around now, is stubbornly hanging on.

This refers to current status in Antarctica.....they just ain’t happening.  Are we about to tumble off a cliff?  Record cols outbreaks in early summer in Southern Hemisphere

@Arnie Pie sorry to be presumptuous, but will you be starting this seasons Noctilucent thread ?   Are the AIMS charts ready for viewing or am I being a little too eager.  I thoroughly enjoyed this thread last year, especially your help and patience.  Thanks.

Yes Bob...I`m keeping an eye on the Aim`s and watching out for any activity on social media....which if I'm honest I would rather trust that than my knowledge of reading the above Maarsy signal

There seems to be a lot of Sunspot activity atm...which always seems to hinder NCL regeneration.....I will be pleasantly surprised if they show up anytime soon

we are close

I must admit, I have been trawling the web cams from the links you posted on page 5 of this thread for the past few nights. Varied my times of looking from 1 to 3 hours after uk sunset.  Not caught an early glimpse yet, but then again cloud cover been a poo, most of Europe been under some sort of unsettled weather system where most of the cams are.
