Yep, it's the Google Pixel 3a using the Night Sight function. If it's of any use, the f stop is 1.8 , 4.44 mm, and ISO 304 with about a 40 second exposure. It's all automatic though, the camera's AI does all the heavy lifting.

IF you find yourself under clear skies overnight I beleive there will be a strong showing for NLC`s from early doors

not expecting an early AIM to be published (it`s the weekend)....but the 3-day out forecast screams a display and

whats giving me more confidence is the Baltic radar(Oswin) atm.....looks on fire

Just caught the end of the show this morning (distracted by YouTube) but pretty undulations that I think looks kinda like a dragon.

Can you explain what these charts actually show? I have trouble interpreting them. Thanks.

I've got the Pixel 3aXL (same camera/software.) I bought it for the camera and I'd never have believed a smartphone could take such amazing low light/night photos. I've also got a Nikon DSLR but the phone is so convenient.

@Jamiee  Can you explain what these charts actually show? I have trouble interpreting them. Thanks.

These daisy charts are produced by Nasa`s AIM saterlite, which criss crosses th N pole 15 times a day... Taking images as it goes of any nlc`s present on that particular run

These individual passes are then stiched together to form the daisy chart which cover the whole of the pole....and gives us a picture of the mass of clouds and were they are

Unfortunatly these results are not 'live' but are 2 days old before they are published.....So the daisy chart for today was for friday 26-06-2020....When you took your photo from essex to the NW.... which would be this feature on todays AIM....As you can see the UK is at the bottom ( 6 o`clock position)
