There hasn't been a single night that wasnt mostly or completely cloudy since the 1st June here. The last 7 have all had thick fog. At least that's gone.

Fingers crossed for something in the next few days.

Looked like there was definitely something showing on the London webcams. Couldn't see anything when I stepped outside though in the brief window I had before the clouds took over.

Should be a setting to lock the camera to manual focus Paul. Had to do it with my D3400 so it didn't change focus after pressing the shutter.

Hey Paul Isee you are also a storm chaser, do you tours in the USA with tour companies or on your own?

Hi Phil

I have run a Tour group for the last 17 years starting in 2004 (1st Season Missed this year due to Covid) and it is apart of this forum actually. The Website is

clouds.jpg
WWW.WEATHERHOLIDAYS.COM

Join WeatherHolidays for the trip of a lifetime storm chasing in the USA or Canada to witness the most incredible storms and tornadoes on planet earth.

And if you want to read up on any of the blogs from all of those Seasons which include between 1500 and 2000 Supercell Intercepts and 225 Tornadoes they are also on the site if you ever get bored lol

We also run tours to Arizona for the Monsoon and Canadian Storm Chasing as well

Loads of reading on there if we hit the 2nd Lockdown phase

That one is actually the closest to my house, you can drive it in under 2 minutes and is about 1/2 mile away so plenty of chances.

Have scoped out about 6 locations since being on Lockdown, that first one in May on the North Norfolk Coast was just too far away with it being a 2hr 40 mins drive and getting home at 530am was a killer

Its a strange one tonight, so on my system it would show that zero NLCs would be possible tonight in Europe but others use different methods in this thread.

I gave a few of my Canadian Chaser Friends a Heads up 2 days ago saying Saturday would be good if skies were clear. One of my pals sent me a message on Facebook this morning saying "Many Many Thanks for the heads up using the 2 day rule system" and Gunjan then sent me this - He knows how to take pictures btw lol

Proper photo... lovely composure

Difficult to tell....with the clockface method we would have the big arm of cloud at 11'clock 3 days out

i`m only just gaining confidence in using to the 2 day forecast   but due to the lateness of posting.... we are already aware of any displays via social media

It will be interesting to find out.....We`ll know in an hour or so

I`ll have a cheeky pint with you mate

That Ukraine sighting ties in with my system and Germany/Poland etc for the coming morning.

Am hopeful we might see something albeit weak just before dawn.

But tomorrow night should be a cracker.

I hope to be proved wrong and we get a decent display
