Looking at the 5 day forecast its possible we actually might get one IOTA.

I never thought that 2005 would be surpassed but now anything seems possible.

Is this still a possibility?

Unlikely.

The invest in question has failed to develop and dropped from 40% to 10%. There is another at 20% in the Atlantic but cold fronts are now stretching down to Cuba so the window for development may just about be over for this season.

Another possible one has popped up but only 10% chance of becoming a cyclone.

The WMO Hurricane Committee meets each year to discuss the past Atlantic season, consider any name retirements and replacements and look forward. This year the whole Greek alphabet has been jettisoned. Dorian 2019, Laura 2020 and Eta with Iota all retired
