VERY constant lightning to my south! Blitzortung isn't even detecting most of the strikes!

I'm not sure but I could've sworn I heard a few rumbles, closest storm seems to be Aylesbury so is it even possible to hear it from that far (30 miles or so)

Moral of the story, never write it off!

Being treated to a very decent storm!! Loud rumbles and bright pink bolts!

Well that was fun! saw a fair amount of distant lightning to the south before that stopped then lots of bright visible bolts to the east! was too far away to hear any thunder but was still a good display!

Blowing an absolute gale at top of the hill now, cold air has arrived

That storm over Nottingham looks nasty and also seems to have turned right - surely some rotation going on there.

The other place that has had a pummelling today is Anger in France - constant back building for hours

Yes it did intensify as it moved East of the town, hearing half a dozen claps of thunder as it did so. Didn't see any lightning or structure though.

Great little storm grew and passed over us in  Bourne (north of Peterborough). The proper way to end a spell of heat.

same cell that arrived here just south of Spalding, my windows face out your way and it definitely put on a great show on its way this direction!

Just taken the dog out, and it looks like we’ve got a bit of a nocturnal rattler going on over towards the Chester, Wrexham area. ?️

Yes it was brilliant watching it arrive then burst into life. I thought it had died after it passed us but found some more energy from somewhere on it's way to you to give a little more.

Hearing that a house has been struck in spalding and is on fire. Hope whoever it was is ok.

That thing was producing some corkers. Very bassy thunder from it.

Nothing happened where I live unfortunately, it either fizzled out before it got near or hit the invisible wall that seams to reside to the SW of Stoke on Trent which then splits all the storms heading our way so they pass to the NW and SE of us.  (It's kinda weird why they always do this when they come from that direction as it's just flat(ish) over that way, no big hills/mountains until you hit Wales  )

Winds howling like a banshee outside atm though (can hear that deep pitch moaning/roar coming from the sky), and been hearing plenty of bins going over for the last couple hours or so.

Edit: It's really weird outside atm, even thought he wind is howling (and as I said before I can hear the roar coming from above) the clouds themselves appear to be at a complete standstill overhead.  There's a small flatish cumulus slightly to the west and I've been watching a star lurking on it's lower edge for the past 15 mins and the cloud just hasn't moved at all in relation to the star.  Freaky ;)

Looks like something possibly starting to kick off just to the NNW of my location - Wolves.

I noticed that too, heading SE. Keep us informed if it produces anything noteworthy!

Rainfall just started, not too heavy - yet, brisk breeze, temp, 8.4C, falling steadily.

Looks like a Squall Line is just forming north of Wolverhampton/Birmingham.  Amazing watching it basically perform a pirouette on it's Western tip as it changes travel direction from Northwards to Southwestwards.  Looking like it's probably gonna be nasty from the radar image.
