Counted around 50 or 60 thunders and 10 or so C-C bright white or blue lightning before it stopped. Pouring with rain now. The storm died like flicking a switch.

Lol,it's just kicked off again.

I managed to catch a couple of strikes, filming with my tablet.  Will get daughters help editing and then I'll post them.

Well, I guess it's game over here. Just hoping for a distant lightning show at night tonight if that's possible.

Maybe something later on if we are lucky lol! Beautiful skies at least

That dreaded NE wind has just made itself present here. I doubt we will be able to brew anything around here now. It’s began to melt away all of the cumulus too. Over to everyone else now I think. I’m calling it game over here I reckon now.

Hay!

what's the chances that south Derby cell hitting you, looks like it's done a right mover and heading your way.

All quiet again outside with another cell building up over Congleton but aside from the one rumble of thunder it's just light rain here for now, the atmosphere still feels heavy and oppressive though which for mid-April isn't too bad and we've needed the rain anyway.

I think the cell to the north west of me has already died, all the strikes bar one seem to have been false strikes on lightning maps.

And My phone battery died and I lost the time lapse but oh well.

edit: seems to have a hail on radar but not electric aside from the single strike.

That storm over Nottingham looks nasty and also seems to have turned right - surely some rotation going on there.

The other place that has had a pummelling today is Anger in France - constant back building for hours

Can just about make it out, even though the sky is hazy.

If we wasn’t locked down, I’d be heading straight out to it. Typical!

Lord above, it’s gone off the scale on the rainfall chart. 250mm/hr!!

Wonder if any lightning will be visible on the Manchester Airport webcam where the storm is just off left of the webcam

The cam stays on for about a minute and half at a time then goes off. Just scroll back up to the top and press play again

I think I just saw lightning from the corner of my eye near Luton. Some strikes detected there too.
