I can't be the only person who thinks that band of rain is coming in quicker than forecasted?

Too fast weather front chapter two!, also new cells arrived in English channel!

No you're not. It looks like it'll be here in the next 2-3 hours and it wasn't forecast to be here for a good few hours later than that.

Hmmm. I think we need the experts to tell what effects this could have! (Hopefully it won't have an effect at all) Not sure if that is a little feature with the band of rain. Most models didn't pick it up.

The line that's moving east now is weakening as it does so. I think any potential storms were ahead of this.

The UKV actually picked it up and has it slowly dying just before it reaches me.

The rare and unprofessional forcast by me

Cells produce at about midnight which may not be electrical and very isolated, brining rain tI'll about 3am!

Something I have just noticed. There are some radar returns in East Anglia, and looking at the latest infrared Sat24 image it was from some clouds that were not on there 15 minutes ago...

Is convection finally underway?
