You can clearly see the line of storms on lightningmaps. Those areas have got very lucky this afternoon.

Wish I lived 'down south' you guys always get all the good weather

Just typical 'April' showers going on up here.  Still ridiculously windy though, gusts are getting up to a good 30mph (probably higher).  Last shower that passed through did throw a few small hail stones at the windows aswell.

Same here. Everything seems to die over Wales as it heads east for some reason. Possibly due to geographic reasons such as high hills and mountains?

Was actually a lovely little storm, watching it build up over the Southdowns was pretty amazing. The rumbles going up & down the valley were quite something to listen too.

Can’t upload anything from the video I took cos it caned my storage but it was on slomo so I know I got at least one additional fork, and also captured a lot of the thunder. Glad I headed out - shame it’s all over now but a nice morning of storms for a good many ppl in Sussex

For us here anything that comes from the SW has to make it over the hills roughly along the line from Whitchurch/Market Drayton/Newport.  They tend to act as a 'storm catcher' and everything gets dumped there and fizzles out behind in there lee. So to get anything decent when the weathers coming from that direction it either needs to be big enough to make it over the hills or needs to rapidly form and develop just after them .

The Pennines running from the NE to almost the SE also act in a similar way.  So the only decent chance of getting decent storms for us here are limited to the NW (coming through the Cheshire gap).

The drought continues here. Little shower enough to wet the ground but not measurable.

Some more photos and it looks like another wave is coming over again, the second wave came over but it was just some very heavy rain no thunder or lightning.

Anyone else’s netweather extra radar crashing on iPhone?

Yes it crashes whenever you zoom in and out. @Paul has said hopefully it’ll be fixed soon.

Did a time lapse of a shower passing by and noticed something lower than the the rest of the base, any ideas or is it just part of the main cloud ? I'd presume it's too weak to be a shelf cloud or anything similar but the camera angle makes it harder to make it out.

You could also be here on the south coast where all the shower activity passes to the north without fail leaving blue skies overhead all day. Happens all the time.

The closest anything’s got to here is this to the NE currently.

The V7 is unaffected, so you can continue to use that without any problems

I'd also recommend clearing your browser cache / data, as we've added some fixes to the V8 today, and it may help.
