12z AROME and ARPEGE an improvement to my reckoning...may well set a 01:30 alarm after all.

Got any Charts to share Harry ?

The first is the ARPEGE while the second is AROME (albeit while it is centred on France you can clearly make out southern UK)

Am waiting patiently for the Euro4 And WRF-NMM 12z updates.

Why did they add the fake thunder for the second video??? I also dislike when people put music over the videos of thunderstorms.

Real warm here, pretty sure that we won't see anything electrical this time. There is always tomorrow.

This has to be the best video so far that I have found on this mornings thunderstorms in Swansea.

Key moment is at 3:16. Listen to the thunder!!

(And 4:05 too)

Are the little blotches on the east coast the thunderstorms?

Yes, but they will probably explode in the North Sea.

I hope you are joking, and I hope you are wrong as there is no way I'm waiting 2 months for the next storm chance

Forget two months, I'm not waiting five years for one, I'm sure we'll have a good storm soon, hopefully not two months away though.

The word ‘insane’ - fast overtaking the word ‘legend’ as one of the most overused terms in the English language

3:16 was exciting tho, I’ll give you that

What is your location mate?

Swansea.

Wasn't expecting anything last night, although I don't look out for thunderstorms like some.

When you are woken up by thunder it can get a bit startling. There was also a very short intense downpour. It didn't last that long but was intense enough.

If that came to fruition then it would look quite good from somewhere like Great Yarmouth as it will be in the hours of darkness with an unimpeded view out to sea.

Just to add 12z EURO4 to the mix...

Nice to see several models going for it at short range, unlike this morning's event where they had all gradually backed off the idea...

I’m rooting for AROME which has it all kicking off further south

You know... If it wasn't for the heat I'd swear we have snow clouds coming in... the sun has that weird dimmed look to it that it gets when there's snow clouds passing in front of it.  Looks cool
