Don't you have the Formby, Heswall shield, if I remember rightly.

Well I thought so but evidently it’s been switched off today. The sea breeze is not making any difference yet. Still won’t let any storms in though.

Huge cell development north of swansea. Deep rumbles and a huge cg stike. Blue skies and warm sunshine dominate to the south of this cell

The 06Z GFS provides the goods.

I would like that to happen but i fear that they will be gone on the 12z as it was a massive outlier but i hope that it's a trend

This was taken in Cork today apparently.

If so, that is some well defined CB to the right!

Just touching on the forecast warnings about the criteria of the hatched warning^,they put this up because there is a risk in this hatched area and anywhere(roughly) could catch a heavy downpour/storm and is classed as a low risk and most in this hatched area will miss out,it is the nature of showers and you cannot predict/pinpoint that a storm will be IMBY

an example from Thu 25th July last year, this is what we want to see but it is only May

I remember that day well, the potential was certainly there even for tornadoes and a supercell did form across the NW and moved into the borders but nothing happened as far as tornadoes but this was the Skew T chart from Edinburgh on that day last year it’s pretty rare to get 2000 CAPE up here! A69380FD-F92A-4FED-B8FB-90EEBED8F2F5.thumb.png.6a8672d1cef57dc061517442cd4afb23.png

Decent storm here in SW Wales this afternoon, first of the year. Lost count of the rumbles, flashes and several louder booms followed by heavy rain.  Seems to have eased now. Hopefully helped get the pollen count down a bit!
