Looks a pretty boring transition here. A cold wind off the sea tomorrow and Saturday suppressing temperatures. Wouldn’t surprise me if Sunday is the same temperature as  Saturday as we have a wind off the land then. No chance of thunder here as far as I can see.

Some nice big billowing clouds in the area now, and looks like a potent little cell west of Cardiff and another in Exmoor. Hopefully the start of things growing!

Not really developing much further. If anything, clearing up again.

C'mon push this way, although there isn't really much going on is there:lazy:

and never expected much anyway, would be nice though to get some snaps of the clouds if they make it this way.

I think any strikes now will be north of Sheffield or a very low 2% chance in Ireland.

THUNDERSTORM OUTLOOK - FRI 08 MAY 2020

Valid: Friday 08 May 00z - Saturday 09 May 00z

Heavy showers could form almost anywhere tomorrow from diurnal heating. The main risk however is in S/SC/SE England where 300-700j/kg CAPE will be present. This area is the most prone area of showers/thunderstorms developing as there is deeper convection in this area so I have issued a moderate risk in a line from the Cotswolds to East Anglia. Elsewhere, 100-400j/kg CAPE will be present and to warrant this a low risk has been issued. When showers do form over parts of N England/Ireland/N. Ireland/Scotland they might be quite isolated and could be quite short lived as convection won't be as deep. If you do catch a thunderstorm, there could be a chance of hail falling.

Yippeee! If it's half as good as what we had a few weeks back (just prior to the last cold snap!) it'll be well worth the wait. What a stonker of a thunderstorm that one was!:clapping:

Nice summary Zak.  Oh and don't forget to add a little circle around St Neots in that blue zone for the 0% thunder risk area!!
