And st neots just misses out on the thunder and torrential rain again. Seriously what is it about this area.

We had quite violent rainfall rates here in N London for about 2 mins as the white/purple echo went overhead. No T+L or hail. ⛈️

You're not alone. There's many members on here who haven't had a thunderstorm in a long while. It's coming up to 3 years for me.

Some quite beastly looking clouds in the distance to the West towards Solihull/Shirley/Birmingham

Saw that here earlier when it cleared. Unfortunately it was mostly behind a house so I could get any pictures of it

Some heavy rain now, though nothing quite on the torrential level as that storm down South-East.

Yep missed the heavy rain here but some damaging wind on the leading edge. Leaves and litter everywhere and trees bent right over.

Rain scale about 2 outta 10

Not sure I’ll see much more here today, blue sky approaching from the west and nothing much on the radar.
