That dreaded NE wind has just made itself present here. I doubt we will be able to brew anything around here now. It’s began to melt away all of the cumulus too. Over to everyone else now I think. I’m calling it game over here I reckon now.

Looks to be tempering down here as well - Certainly not a lot of growth in the TCU as there was earlier

Quite a noisy storm in the end, but only occasional faint lighting flash. Still grumbling as it moves away..

Keeping a listen-out for Thunder towards Macc way and what's developing over the Goyt Valley aswell, gone typically quiet and humid outside before a storm approaches.

Ten rumbles of thunder here and heavy rain. No lightning but certainly elevated and thunder sounds like the sky splitting apart. The sound ran from one side of the sky to the other

Do you here thunder?

sferics nr your location.

Edit:just seen your post^.

Sferics on the radio very frequent and growing in intensity.  Had 9 absolutely decent cracks of thunder, been looking to the skies in the radar direction not seen any lightning.  Its really popping now.

Up here, it’s endless potential if you have a S, SW, W, NW or a SE wind under a juicy set up for Surface based activity. However, anything East of North or North of East, you can put a fork in anything kicking off at all, as the sea air kills it almost instantly. There’s no uplands whatsoever to act as a blockade for the sea breeze here from the wash. Unlike parts of Norfolk or the Lincolnshire wolds.

Had we have kept a Southerly like this morning all day, we would have undoubtedly seen a decent storm! Knew this would happen!

There is definitely a shower developing here. Sferics increasing in frequency on the radio but still fairly distant for now.

25 or so rumbles of thunder from the Congleton cell over the last 30 mins or so. No lightning and moderate rain here.

It departed with a CG lightning and ground shaking thunder. Nice way to go out. Would have been ideal to chase [if we didn't have a lockdown] - very slow moving.

Does anyone think these cells below Lincoln will join and form a line?

Had a couple of rumbles from the storm coming out of Nottingham. The radar shows the core of one pulse close to Newark, so I'll keep my fingers crossed it reinvigorates. Nice rumble of thunder again just now. No rain yet.

Heard that crack of thunder over Bollington just now, slowly it's starting to get closer.

Well, I guess it's game over here. Just hoping for a distant lightning show at night tonight if that's possible.

Today reminds me why I need to chase to see a storm. A nice gap over Derbyshire.

Developing shower about to arrive, let’s see if it electrifies.

Counted around 50 or 60 thunders and 10 or so C-C bright white or blue lightning before it stopped. Pouring with rain now. The storm died like flicking a switch.
