Forcast for a possible shower clearing before lunch then very warm sunny and 24 deg+........Erm,No.

Showery until late morning, remaining cloudy with a couple of the briefest peeks of the sun, just made it to 21 deg !

Well it felt a bit like summer today, some warmth but mostly a refreshing breeze, and still much cooler than what most people in the world have to put up with in summer.

Beautiful day here today but tomorrow now changed with storms in the afternoon in Hampshire (met office site) still hot with 31 max though.  Is the cold front moving in quicker?

Also enduring a blizzard of flying ants.. haven't seen this many of them in years

I hope not, I’m banking on a sunny day tomorrow!

I hope we have another sunny hot day, and we get the storms rolling in during the night. Would really fit the mood, as Poltergeist is on BBC1 tomorrow night.

Stay away from weird looking trees lol.

A proper summer feel to today for a change. Also reached 25°C for only the second time this month.

Tomorrow looks a bit messy..

Usual spots could reach mid 30s if it stays sunny, but the risk of cloud and/or thunderstorms is there for the SE. Some places forecast 34°C might be stuck under pouring rain.

Good luck to those BBQ'ing! ☀️☔

First injection of warmth all month this afternoon, after a wet cloudy morning. Think we hit 22 degrees which is the warmest max of July so far. Muggy feeling to thins this evening, feels like a summers one at last! Lots of flying ants everywhere as well.

Tomorrow might deliver a 28 degrees not the highest maxima of the year so far, but not far off and will feel very odd after 5 weeks with no warmth to speak of. Alas it's a 24 hr wonder, by Saturday back down to high teen maxima and that chilly westerly breeze again.

It may be partly driven by the UKV which has ramped up maxima for tomorrow in the last 24 hours. Now has grid points of 35C in London for example.

The what?

If it was 34C and raining at the same time it would be very odd. It would likely feel very muggy but the rain would also cool you down to some degree. I'd like to experience that to see just what it feels like!

Nice warm day today but feeling quite humid and it stayed cloudy all day. But it felt nice just have a warm day for a change! First one this month! (I class warm in summer as 21-25C).

A bit of a fail for the forecast here today. Rain until lunchtime and no sun at all this afternoon.

Strange that. No rain here today.

I think flying ants should be put in charge of forecasting the weather, they are never wrong.

Nice and warm already with blue skies. This is what summer 2020 has been missing. Haven’t had this kind of weather since late June, apart from the odd few sunny warm days.

I don’t think there will be a thunderstorm later though.

This month is like july 2015 in reverse!  The 1 very hot day on the last day of the month this time, with the rest rather uninspiring

Was good to see clear blue skies first thing this morning, first time in 8 weeks.

Clouded over already so will be lucky to get twenty degrees.

Bound to be the dullest July on record.

If there is a month unworthy of grabbing a high temperature record, it is this one. It doesn't deserve anything but to be confined to the dustbin. One day doesn't escape from the fact, it has been atrocious.

The rain didn't fizzle out completely until lunchtime and it remained overcast for the rest of the day until 7pm or so when it finally cleared.

Textbook high summer's day here.  A few high clouds, a slight haze to the sky and already at a toasty 26C.
