Don't know if it's a glitch or not ..but Google weather suggesting the temp will fall from 29C at 1PM to 22C at 2PM before riding back to 28C by 3!

Forecast maxes here are 18-21c all week. That’s 2-5c below average for July (23c max), so is that is quite suppressed in relation to the norm.

Remember we’re only right at the beginning of July though. The month tends to get warmer as you go further on.

Autumn arriving? Temps look fairly average (22-27c) and it'll be mostly dry.

I’m not sure where you’re seeing 27 degrees, but OK.

Temperatures looking well suppressed next week. With plentiful rain, and if sunshine is lacking, then yes ‘autumnal’ is a very fitting description.

Time for it to change but it’s not looking like typical summer fayre at all!

Looks pretty close to average for London, a couple of cooler days but nothing very bad.

I mean it's just a normal British summer, this is not Spain

Is it not? Apologies, for 35 years of life I thought I lived in Spain.

True, the southeast doesn't look too bad. Very much the exception to the rule.

Looks much cooler for here with temps only in the mid teens but that’s to be expected as we are further north.  London usually does quite well in a westerly flow, here, not so much.

Looks like we are setting up a normal Northwest to Southeast split with the weather that has often happened in recent years. Next weeks weather in London looks ideal for me, but I certainly wouldn’t enjoy living there during a heatwave. If I did live in London I think  I would book a holiday up in the north-east whenever a heat wave was forecast, or if I was rich enough, own a second home in the north-east or Cornwall and go there until the heat wave was over.

As forecast, slightly fresher than yesterday though, with more of a breeze.

Raining here in Lancashire now. Quite heavy too. No thunder though and still very warm and muggy.

Perhaps it's because I'm sadly at home in my furnace of a flat as opposed to being in an office where the A/C is set at 20C!

Another day with a dewpoint north of 20C, that used to be a rarity here but now seems to happen several times a year.

Currently 26.0C with a dewpoint of 20.1C. Feels horrible. Hopefully we get some storms later to make it worth it!

Wow, that looks atrocious for summer! Looks like a typical wet spell in October.

Mate, it takes me back to Christmas 1980, even though I was only 4 at the time.

For me it’s a childhood Christmas classic.

The one I really loathe is Slade, and I’m going off Fairytale of New York more recently. Overhyped

Anyway, back to summer 2020 lol

Seems appropriate given it's the midway point through the year between Christmasses. Happy halfway Boxing Day!

Certainly a far more humid feel to the day, that lovely breeze has dropped. To be honest finding it quite uncomfortable, thankfully the breakdown will occur over the weekend, that will bring relief at least!

Happy halfway turkey dinner, or whatever the dinner equivalent should be lol.

Isn’t there talk of a possible October bank holiday, due to the lockdown?

Did anyone get storms? London missed out again. I was convinced we would see something due to the humidity.

Yep! (here on the Essex coast) surprisingly had one roughly around 6am'ish which woke me up...steady rain a few flashes (lightning not me) and some loud overhead rumbles and bangs. Lasted about 20 minutes or so...

Dreadful here today. Overcast and 17°C, very disappointing.

Bring it up here. Would love those conditions.  Still hot, sunny and humid here.
