Still more melt on the Laptev side! The Beaufort does look poised for a quick refreeze mind so it's an area to watch for new ice to grow. 

Meanwhile Siberian regions, just looks really dire and if we don't get much fast ice forming this winter and we get another record snow cover retreat then we could see a repeat of the rapid melt in 2021.

Yep, gains in the Beaufort Sea are likely heralding the end of the 2020 melt season and beginning of the 2020/21 refreeze

The gains in the Beaufort Sea have persisted to yesterday, so it's quite likely that we've passed the minimum.
