Aren't the mean temperatures for March 5.7c for 61-90 and 6.6c for 81-10?

Many days like to today and most people will be to low for the rainfall comp.
I am already thinking yet again I am far to low and possibly to warm on the temps for once, although plenty of time to go but not looking good for me.

Yep it is looking wet for at least two weeks. Can’t see it lasting through the whole month though.

Here in Leeds we've had two light rain events overnight but it looks dry until Sunday night. Can't have more than 5-10mm.

It’s a warming month so the CETs will be lower to begin with.

I did think that, but I don't really find comparing the CET to a moving daily target especially helpful!

Below average?!  Been a while since we've seen that on the Met CET updates!

Yes, early December started off below average, but quickly went above.

Probably reached the low point, and a gradual rise will now take place, thanks in part to milder nights.

I think that this is the low point now, there may well be colder blips this month but it would take something extreme like the GFS 06z run to achieve anything lower.

It got down to -3c widely in the CET zone the night before last, not likely to happen again any time soon.

Looks like I may have gone too mild at 6.5c with a possible BFTE knocking on the door and the MetO going for below average temperatures for a while!

Should’ve stuck with my lower figure....cold continental flow looks like developing after initial cold northerly and NE’ly
