March 2020 C.E.T. and EWP forecast contests

I cant help feel that March will actually turn colder and be the 'winter month' outside of meteorological winter. We will still get plenty of stormy weather (I called storms in Feb and teo so far if not the correct part if month.,) but the winds will at times gave more of a northern polar maritime and even Arctic bite to them. Being March, while most of the UK will get involved in the snow, it will come and go and the March sunshine will see off any accumulations rather speedily in the daytime. 130mm and 5.5.C please

I shall punt for 7.6C and 90mm. 

While the current output is a little cooler most March's following a similar AO pattern to Jan-Feb retain a strong vortex and a milder (though drier) pattern. Allowing for early precipitation with a warmer and drier equinox March is probably still likely to be mild and wet.

I don't think anyone answered your question so I'll have a punt: looks like 6.77C for 1868-69 according to this: https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/hadobs/hadcet/ssn_HadCET_mean_sort.txt  with 2015-16 in second place.

for March my guest for temperature will be 8.5 C as for precipitation I still think it will be quite wet on settled and there for going with 100 mm thank you.

Expecting a predominantly unsettled March, but probably something drier at times second half more so in the south than the north. Some preety chilly weather first half, balanced out by a bit of warmth at times second half, again more so in the south. Finishing figure 7.2 degrees. Marked temp variations at times from north and south, the north quite cold at times.
