Keep well clear of it Matty, things change real fast as Elland Bridge saw back in 2015?

You just don't know what is flowing down that torrent and about to tw@ the bridge?

I'm 200 miles away looking at the webcam.

If it tw@7s me from here we are in serious trouble....

Down to 922 mb in the centre of the low

Anyone got data on previous min pressures from Atlantic lows?

I do not like the rainfall Radar a.t.m.......add in the orographic enhancement to the signals we are seeing and I can see why there's so much activity here through the day?

I reckon I'm pulling a late one tonight......and it's not even a Hurricane making landfall!.......though that central pressure would eclipse many of the ones I've watched home....

Keep safe Folks!

I'm surprised as well. I'm no expert with radars but I think for us here in Hastings we're going to have a relatively peaceful night !

It appears that ,on the MetO rainfall radar, the 'oranges' turn to deep orange when they hit our hills?

Like the uplift of that 2,000 ft is squeezing every last drop of moisture out of the airmass?

Not good.....

Yep this was always an orographic lift event, that's why they were so presise with the Amber's.

Just had another small and fast squall line come through, not much in the way of wind, but very intense rainfall, quickly flooded the road outside in less than a min.
