Squall line hitting us now.

How my fence is still standing I don't know, flapping in the wind

How strong were the winds?

Not too sure. Around 40-50mph at their peak probably.

After a brief easing of the strongest gusts, the wind appears to be strengthening again! This squall line could be very interesting indeed...

Pretty much calm now. But what a cracking day of weather, easily the weather highlight of this wretched winter.

My kids started watching with me and my heart was in my mouth every time one of the jets touched down!

I can see another band of dark cloud on the horizon approaching from the NE.  Looking at the radar looks like another smaller squall line is trying to start up...

Look at those shower streamers over Scotland right now. One through the central belt and another curved one to the north of it. Looks like the centre of the storm is over NE Scotland at the moment with that small hook of rain there

Is there a chance of some lightning in the showers behind the cold front?

The squall line just passed... I didn't even imagine how bad it would be. My street had literal rivers running down the side. I have never seen anything like it. Heads up South East!
