That was probably the most intense period of weather I've seen here in Merseyside as the squall line passed over. That wind and rain was absolutely hammering us.

Will the squall line survive to here. First wheelie bin to blow over just now.

Does anyone really know what to expect in the North West London, like maximum gusts possible and when? I really dont know whats going to happen as things seem to be changing quite often.

Just logged-on - is Ciara delayed or further north than forecast?  We've had a couple of brief power cuts so far, but it isn't quite as bad, particularly in terms of rain, as I expected.

If it does it looks like we'll get the most intense precipitation out of it. Looks beastly to the west and increasingly dark out of the window now.

It might not seem too windy as I shot this from a sheltered spot, but the hum is generated by the wind blowing through the crane. From experience it generally needs to get over 40mph for it to hum.

Wind speeds are the lowest they have been since midnight here. UKV has lowered the max gusts as well. Not as bad as I thought it would be here.

Not surprised to see Aberdaron get a 93mph gust. Funny enough I was sitting in the hotel on the beach last Saturday discussing the position of the weather station with the landlord. It is not in Aberdaron but is situated on the exposed headland slightly to the west so that when a southerly gale whips up, it is right in the path of the winds channeling up the Irish Sea

MCFC match has been postponed: Due to extreme and escalating weather conditions and in the interests of supporter and staff safety, today’s @premierleague match against West Ham has been postponed.
