Into 1049mb now at 0c. Speeding up the increase in pressure too. Most interesting weather obs of the winter.

Mumbles and Sennybridge both showing 1049.5hPa at 7pm. Provisionally, the Welsh official record is broken!

Heathrow is 1048.6 - the London record (not sure what it is but less than 1050) could be another one to go, soon.

1048.53 here. Almost 4mb higher than my previous station record.

Looking at the hi-res charts, it wouldn't surprise me if some places scrape 1051mb

1047.75 and it's like a Pea Soup-er outside but less smelly XD  (can see about 3 semi's distance up and down the street, and the 3rd ones only by the window glow  )

Possibly the highest pressure I've experienced in my life, I get the impression we're at about 1044 here - my aneroid agrees, although my Fitbit is only at 1038.

Liscombe 1050.3!

Me, 1048.8 - down from its high of 1049.0. Bet I miss the magic 1050 by half an hPa or summat!

1049.20 on my station. Fascinating record to achieve. I'll be surprised if I get close to it again in my lifetime.

We should all be celebrating tonight \as this is a once in a generation high pressure thing in an otherwise mundane winter . BEAUTIFUL

Is the extreme high pressure having an influence on the rise in temps currently occurring in the SE where I am the frost  that developed from 7pm has melted and temps now up to 2c?!

We're on 1046.7hPa at the moment, which beats the previous record of 1045.0hPa I mentioned earlier in this thread by quite some way.

It's still going up too.

Mumbles is at 35m and has been reporting 1050.2hPa

EDIT Now confirmed by the Met Office at 1050.5hPa as the highest so far, at Mumbles Head.

The UK's highest air pressure for 63 years is recorded in Wales - at the Mumbles, Gower.

In Chelmsford, my station hit 1050.4mb at 23:13 yesterday (adjusted for altitude) - the highest I've recorded since my records began in 2013.

The nearest MetO station - Andrewsfield - recorded a max of 1049.1mb. I say "max" but that's actually the highest hourly reading - possibly could have gone higher as I can't see a definitive max that considers readings between the tops of hours.

Does your station have options to input altitude, because if not you'll be seeing absolute pressure which does get lower at elevation, if you're altitude adjusted you should still be receiving the relative sea level pressure

I`m reading good old fashioned and always been reliable weather glass barometer 1037mbs probably a record in january it goes upto 1060mbs and its on a facing SW wall.
