Clear intervals and a slight ground frost during the first half of last night but it became foggy by 0130. The fog cleared temporarily around 0630 but returned at 0800.

The fog cleared by 1000 and the rest of the morning was dry and cloudy. Intermittent rain arrived shortly after midday, most of it light, but in the last 10 minutes there's been a short spell of torrential rain and small hail. A windy day with the southerly wind increasing to gale force this afternoon.
