One of our bushes/shrubs (not sure what it is exactly as was here before we moved in) has been constantly blossoming with little white flowers on and off for last couple of months. In last week or so it has really grown. Grass could do with a cut.

Blessing is that it has been mainly dry last week or so. Quite content if it stays mild and dry. My tolerance to colder winters has wained in last few years, although wouldnt mind a week of cold and snow, at some point this Winter.

There’s a cherry blossom in the car park at my gym that has been sprouting since early November, before there was any actual cold to speak of lol.

The fish in our pond usually remain very dormant at the bottom during winter, some have been swimming near the surface the last month or so (make of that what you will)...also a few border plants in semi-flower (Geraniums, Dianthus).

Still waiting for my first air frost of the season

Prunus 'Autumnalis Rosea' is a small deciduous tree that features pale-pink, semi-double flowers that appear in autumn and last over winter. This ornamental specimen also boasts ovate, dark-green leaves and glossy fruits in spring.

This tree is a true delight and is worthy of planting in any garden: a tree that gives you year-round interest and that remains relatively small, making is perfect for a range of gardens.

Each autumn, usually in November, a profusion of bell-shaped, pink, semi-double flowers appear all over the tree. The pale pink flowers open from dark pink buds and they add a real burst of colour as the dark nights draw in. From November to March, the blooms appear intermittently and they look stunning in a snow-covered garden. The flowers later become small and glossy fruits,

Interesting! Only thing I’d say is the leaves are a very dark almost purply red colour, when the do come out.

What you refer to however I’ve also seen around quite a lot, and they are indeed beautiful!

Yes the fish in my pond are near the surface all the time and are always ready for any food I give them. In fact they appear to ask for more after each feed. Not used to seeing this at this time of year.

birds were twerking here too ay 6 30 am this morning almost sounded like May.

I remember going out at 6.30 am on a few occasions in December 2015 and it certainly felt like May temperature wise!

Well the dark, murk and gloom are here for a while yet, something you can rely on every winter regardless of the weather, wonderful!

Sun was out earlier and out of the breeze, it felt very pleasant and dare I say it, springlike?

Normal service resumed this afternoon and it's pouring down now.
