Random (judging by the radar) hail and sleet shower just passed over. Lashed down for about 2mins!

Running out of ideas to avoid the news - except whisky, catching up on TV, prog rock and reading! Suggestions welcome

Fergus was not amused

Gorgeous late afternoon here:

Nice pictures, esp the first and last. (I mean of the 2nd lot, sorry :oldlaugh: - the first pictures of mess and mud are like endless ones I have for work...)

Wtf is it with big organisations that most staff are sensible but it's the dickheads who get into the jobs that matter when it comes to the crunch?

Coldest start to the day this winter at -4.5c but with brilliant blue skies now..A big help to the drying out process.

Gorgeous day yesterday, gorgeous day today! Lovely to see the sunshine at last! A few more days of this will help dry up the muddy, swamp like feature that is my garden! ☀️

@CatchMyDrift typically, Caithness stayed cold, grey and dry. Think we had a dusting or so, I remember someone making a snow angel and wrecking his jacket cos the snow was so thin. We were desperate!

Nice sunny morning here after an early air frost. My 32nd with now 16 before and 16 after New Year. A breeze from the NE set in during the afternoon and made it feel cold. Just one or two very light passing showers around.  Max of 8C.

Ben Lawers today zoomed from the upper Tay valley.

Early start this morning - lots to do.

It' snowed during the night leaving a slight dusting. Temperatures is currently -4C with the last few mornings around -5C.

The first month of Spring has generally been on the cold side with bright sunny days.

Snows falling, on the hills, a few miles to the south of the house.

Ditto, not a surprise given our relative proximity. Wasn't expecting to see even a dusting this morning.

Off soon to Ayrshire and back to pick up the new addition to our family. Cute puppy picture incoming.

Just popped in from the SE to see if you have posted the lovely photo's as you all usually do and you’ve not let me down!

Thank you for posting them - beautiful scenery, always cheers me up (especially if there’s some snow to be had!)

Sounds like you've definitely got the better deal. Farmer enroute with the next load of firewood - cloudy, snowing and cold. Not the best day to be messing around with logs.

Looking forward to seeing pictures of the hound

A cloudy start but hopefully the sun will come out. Might be a very rare bone dry weekend. Been a LONG time since there's been one of them

<stuck record alert>

If you think that's bad, you should try Caithness!

Just dull cold and nothing else this morning.

Got some huge piles of birch to split outside but every year my enthusiasm wanes a little. Ah well.

BBC said sunny spells and a gentle breeze here. What we have is windy and grey and horrible.

Cold breeze here too but temps up to 7.6C now. No frost last night with the cloud and breeze. A couple of showers early doors which I think maybe had hail in them from the noise. Too lazy to get out of bed to see.

The latest addition to the Netweather Scotland thread. Plenty of weather related picture to come for many a year featuring Rua. Currently travelling very well considering everything is a new experience for her. Currently at Dundee.

Chilly here in the wind, but signs of spring on the trails, birdsong particularly noticeable.

My first week of working at home didn't go too well as ended up going in every day because of IT issues. Going to stick it out at home from next week though.

Had to cancel our Easter trip down to Cornwall to see mum (90). She's being very stoical about it all and is learning to use what's app video calling which is proving amusing. She's also blessed with a cracking view which helps.

Hope you're all OK - stay safe.

The pup seems to be taking the car journey in her stride. Good dog!
